Choose Between Keyboard And Piano

For those who're considering which instrument they should buy, but dont know the differences bewteen a grand piano and a keyboard, heres a list of pros and cons- starting with the keyboard.
The piano. There are 3 main types of paino. grands, uprights, and electric pianos. A grand (or concert) piano's size ranges from 2m-3m for a parlor grand, to 1m-2m for a boudoir grand and slightly smaller for a baby piano. Which concludes that size is the first problem to owning a piano -round one to the keyboard. Unless you have money and room in your house for them, owning a grand piano isnt really option, as even the baby grand is quite big. The advantage with a piano this big is the sound. Most piano players will sing the praises of a grand piano due to the sound they produce, due to their huge size, which allows for long strings inside the piano. The baby grand piano may be shorter but will have thicker strings inside to compensate, like a bass guitar to a guitar. Thicker strings on a smaller instrument means more less 'pull' from the instrument and a stronger clarity in the sound.
The upright piano, known as the vertical piano has the frame and the strings contained horizontally within the piano, giving it a smaller size. But even at a reduced size its still quite big and will require some space to put it in.
Around since the early 1980's, the electronic piano uses digital techonology to try and reproduce the sound of an acoustic piano. However, even with modern technology it finds it difficult to repoduce the sound of a acoustic piano. Not favoured by many serious piano players.
And the triats of a digital keyboard?
A keyboard will be much easier to carry around, Set up in your home, and cheaper -pretty good so far eh? A keyboard's sound quality with never match the sound or thrill quality of a piano, but then both instruments are different animals- the pedal that piano has on the bottom can change frequency and pitch of a note, which the keyboard lacks. Price wise a keyboard is going to be far cheaper than a piano, a high grade keyboard costs the same as a low grade piano.
The answer? The keyboard -unless you have money to burn and a room to put your piano.
